Religious Education

As a Church of England school, Religious Education is an essential part of our curriculum. We cover a broad range of faiths and encourage children to be reflective, thoughtful citizens of the world.

Our long-term plan can be found at the bottom of the page.

Subject Fingerprints

We want our children to begin to think like theologians. The integrity of the subject is important to us. We have designed 5 key 'fingerprints' that we feel encapsulate what we want RE to be, which supports teachers to plan and supports children to start to think like an expert. Please see our subject fingerprints on our Curriculum Overview page for more information.

Agents of Change

For information about how the academy promotes Agents of Change so that the children develop the skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world, please see our Agents of Change page.

Personal Development

RE plays an important role in the Personal Development of our children. This is about developing them as citizens and leaders. Please see our Personal Development page for more detail.
